You CAN store:
- Household items such as furniture, appliances, linen, kitchenware
- Personal items such as clothes, books, toys,
- Business items such as furniture, equipment, files and documents
- Stock and other commercial equipment (provided it is not listed below)
- Outdoor equipment
- Tools and sports equipment
- Bicycles, scooters, motorbikes and jet-skis
You MAY store these items, provided they are specifically listed in your insurance policy:
- Currency, gold, silver
- Jewellery
- Furs
- Deeds
- Paintings
- Antiques, artworks or curious
- Items of sentimental value
You CANNOT store:
- Illegal or stolen goods
- Toxic, hazardous or environmentally harmful goods – liquid or solid form
- Flammable or explosive goods – liquid or solid form
- Food, plants or other perishable goods
- Any product that could attract vermin
- Any item that creates a risk to property or people
- Live animals
- You cannot reside in a storage unit in New Zealand
- You cannot run a business from a storage unit in New Zealand
